Melling Way, Winstanley

This garden was created from an overgrown plot and is relatively small in size. The client wanted a garden that reflected a lot of light as there are a lot of surrounding trees and limited sunlight. They also wanted an area to entertain guests and enjoy a coffee at breakfast, no matter what the weather.

Again, we had to bring in the digger to clear the site and dig the foundations to construct the rendered walls. The fence lines were covered with tanalised redwood - a favourite way of ours to hide unsightly neighbouring fences. The exsisting barbecue was built in and a hot and cold water supply plumbed in to give a kitchen feel to that side of the garden.

The steel structure was designed to cover the seating area and included a a bi-ethanol fire and an overhead heater for those really chilly nights to allow all year round useage.

An all weather Rattan dining table and chairs sit on the other side of the garden along with a floating seat, rendered raised beds and a rendered wall that hides the shed from view. Contemporary planters and a statue complement the planting theme and travatine paving. Again, a very successful design that offers the client an outdoor living room they can use all year round.
