This project was a patio makeover; we trimmed the beech hedge, removing the lower branches to allow the wall to be constructed and tiled with the added benefit of giving a very modern look to the hedge.
The shed was painted grey; this is a modern and fashonable colour at moment and also neutral, allowing a number of materials to blend in.
A wall was constructed and rendered, disguising the lean-to consevatory slightly and adding privacy from overlooking properties to the sitting area.
The retaining wall and steps were tiled in the same travatine as the main patio. A feature bed was planted and an existing Buddha head was re-sited to add a little interest to the centre. A section of timber cladding fitted between the new wall and shed gives more privacy to the patio and completes the look.
